First part of a two-page spread.
I’ve been going to Anime Central since 2003, and this last one was probably the best ever!
I got there early on Thursday to get setup in the still mostly empty artist alley. I got a great location, and the new alley setup was so much better than the year before.
I premiered the second edition of the first tome of the Deverish Also series. I got to meet tones of new and old fans alike, doing a bunch of sketches in books and getting to discuss the story.
I hope to be back next year!
Ian Chisholm (http://cobrateen.deviantart.com/) over on Deviant Art wrote a nice review of Deverish Also, and did a good job summarizing what has happened so far in the comic. The why you should read this comic / why you shouldn’t section is a nice twist on the usual review.
I can’t say that I disagree with Ian Chisholm’s critique of the story so far. The story hasn’t been moving as fast as I hoped it would and it is taking too long to set things up. Kuroraki’s story has grown much larger that I had intended as well, but it does tie a lot together further in.
So, definitely go check out the review and Ian’s other webcomic reviews as well.
I finally got around to setting up a page for Deverish Also on Facebook! I’ll be posting in progress pictures and page updates there.
I’ll be randomly choosing two of the first 100 people who ‘like’ Deverish Also on Facebook to win signed copies of the first two books in the series!
Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/deverishalso
there is still another 16 or so pages left in the chapter, but when it’s complete, the second full book of Deverish Also will be on it’s way. I’ll be posting some more details as things progress, but here are the rough pencils for the cover:
I’ve just posted a new page with bio information of the main character in Deverish Also. It’s good place to start if your new to the comic, or just need a reminder.
Check it out by clicking here, or find it in the menu bar at the top.
In other news, updates every other week are probably going to continue a bit longer that I had wanted. I’ll spare you the drama and just say that things should be cleared up by July.
